10:15 a.m. – LIVERY OF SEIZEN CEREMONY  New Castle resident, Jim Whisman, will portray William Penn participating in the Livery of Seizen ritual in which the town and its surroundings were conveyed to him by the Duke of York’s representatives.

11:00 p.m. – DE BLOKFLUITERS Recorder ensemble performance of 18th century music.

12:30 p.m. – THE TRYAL OF WILLIAM PENN  A historical play about the 1670 trial of William Penn accused of unlawful assembly and inciting a mob by preaching to a group of Quakers on a London street.  Issues of religious freedom and the rights of a jury are explored in this 30 minute performance.  The audience may participate as witnesses and members of the jury.

2:00 p.m. – The Amazing Mrs. Penn – Jean Norvell portrays Hannah Penn in this first person presentation of love and life with William Penn.

3:30 p.m. – A repeat performance of The Tryal of William Penn

Early Evening Concert by the Immanuel Bach Consort
Featuring Gary Harney, Harpsichord and Director, Sylvia Ahramjian, Baroque Violin, and Fred Geirsbach, Baroque Flute.  Reservations are required.
