An application has been filed by Charles McCaffery, (Owner) seeking area variances from the New Castle City Code Schedule of District Regulations for proposed building additions at 614 West 13th Street, New Castle, DE 19720, Tax Parcel No. 21-014.00-028 as follows: (1) Lot Area (7500 sq. ft. required—5000 sq. ft. requested); (2) Front setback (30 ft. required—16.8 feet requested); (3) Side Yard setback (8 feet minimum side yard with 20 feet of side yards in the aggregate—-5.1 feet on one side and 14.6 feet in the aggregate requested); and (4) Building Bulk (25% lot coverage permitted—-35.5% requested). Additions will add approximately 875 square feet (25’ x 35’) of living space to the rear of the house, and; 200 square feet (8’ x 25’) of front porch.

For the purpose of considering this application, the Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in Old Town Hall, 2nd Floor, located at 2nd and Delaware Streets, New Castle, Delaware.
