AGENDA

Roll Call

1. Report on status of work to date

2. Public comments on following topics:

a. HAC Review application process: is the existing process easy to follow (is information readily available in a timely fashion, are deadlines for submission clear, is it clear what supporting documentation must be submitted, etc…)
b. HAC meeting schedule (once a month)
c. Cost of HAC application.
d. The role of the Architect Member on HAC: should the Architect be a voting member or HAC or an outside preservation architect consultant hired by the City to review the applications and make recommendations, but without a vote.
e. Should HAC have a two-tier review process: expedited for routine maintenance items with in-kind replacement, more extensive for interventions above a certain threshold (by cost or impact)?
f. Should the HAC fee reflect this tiered approach – lower fee for routine maintenance, higher for mere extensive plan review?
g. Use of alternate materials (windows, doors, roofing) on rear elevations that are not visible from the public right-of-way.
h. Use of alternate materials (windows, doors, roofing) on rear elevations that are visible from the public right-of-way.
i. Use of alternate materials (windows, doors, roofing) on side elevations visible from the public right-of-way.
j. Use of alternate materials (windows, doors, roofing) on street elevations.
k. Use of solar panels on roofs within the historic district limits.
