Old Business/Tabled Applications/Old Applications:

  1. Application 2024-10 Carol Kaspin – 15W 4th Street – Removal Request previously approved in July.
  2. Application 2024- 11 Lillian Shue -17W 4th Street – Request that the historic hitching post in front of her home be removed and replaced when the stump is ground.
  3. Application 2024-12 – Ron Vukelich – 33 The Strand – Removal & replacement.

New Business/New Applications:

  1. Application 2024-13 – Fred Wright – 104 W 6th St – Pruning request.
  2. Application 2024-14 – Tanasi Baldet – 54 E 4th St – Pruning request.
  3. Application 2024-15 – REDACTED – 55 The Strand – Removal & replacement request.
  4. Application 2024-16 – Len Resetar – 115 E 3rd St – Removal request.
  5. Application 2024-17 – Gail Wade – 137 E 3rd St – Pruning request.

Member Comments/Discussion:

  1. The Tree Advisory Commission Requests for the following additions to the code book in reference to trees:

– “All newly planted trees will be limbed up or trimmed by a certify arborist once or twice a year.  Homeowner can request tree pruning via the tree work application.”

– “Homeowners are not permitted to remove or plant trees on city property.  They can submit a tree work application for this work to be done.”

– “The Tree Advisory Commission will always consult the owners about tree removal or addition on city property in front of the home or business prior to any work being completed.”

  1. The Tree Advisory Commission request that the Ash Tree Treatment Plan be reevaluated.  We feel the plan is outdated and needs to be updated.
  2. Tree Watering Plan.
  3. The City Tree Inventory.
  4. Budget Report.
