City Offices Remain Closed for Tuesday, January 27th, 2026
Date Posted: Monday, January 26th, 2026The state of emergency for the state of Delaware has been lifted, but the level 1 driving restriction remains in effect due to potentially dangerous driving conditions. The City of New Castle offices will remain closed through Tuesday, January 27th, 2026.

A reminder that Solid waste pickup originally scheduled for Monday, January 26th, 2026 will be collected on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.
Solid waste pickup originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 will be collected on Thursday, January 29th, 2026.
Citywide recycling for this week will be collected on Friday, January 30th, 2026. Yard waste is canceled for the week.
