NOTE
: For this election only, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all registered City of New Castle voters are eligible to vote by absentee ballot.  When completing the application for an absentee ballot, check the box indicating “I am sick or disabled.”To obtain an Absentee Ballot, contact the Absentee Ballot Clerk, Diane Delgado at 322-9804, or in person at 220 Delaware Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

COVID-19 Guidelines: All voters are strongly encouraged to wear a mask to the polling place, abide by social distancing recommendations, and practice good COVID-19 hygiene.  If you are unable to wear a mask please consider voting with an Absentee Ballot.

Affidavits for Absentee Ballots will be available from the City Office, during normal business hours, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning March 3rd.

Added dates and times when Affidavits for Absentee Ballots and State Voter Registration will be available from the City Office are: Tuesday, March 23rd from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 27th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.  *State Voter Registration is available at the City Office during normal business hours; the deadline to register to vote in the Election is Monday, April 5th. 

April 9th at 12 noon is the deadline to request an affidavit for Absentee Ballots from the City Administration office, 220 Delaware Street.

April 9th at 4:30 p.m. is the deadline for Absentee Ballots to be turned in to the City Office.  Absentee Ballots may also be brought to the polling place on the day of the Election.
