PUBLIC HEARING
The City Council will hold a Public Hearing on:
Ordinance 559 An Ordinance to Amend the City of New Castle Municipal Code, Chapter 230 (Zoning Code), Regarding Historic Area Commission Membership (Council Person Brian Mattaway 10/07/2025)
Ordinance 560 An Ordinance to Amend the City of New Castle Municipal Code, Chapter 230 (Zoning Code), Regarding Home Occupations in the Residential District R-1 Zoning District.
Ordinance 561 An Ordinance amend the city of new castle municipal code, chapter 102 (building construction), chapter 103 (one-and two-family dwellings), chapter 162 (mechanical standards), chapter 163 (fuel gas standards), chapter 164 (existing building code), chapter 165 (swimming pool and spa code), chapter 181 (plumbing code), chapter 185 (property maintenance code), to adopt the 2024 versions of the international code council (“icc”) codes, including to require residential sprinklers.
The Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 400 South St, New Castle, DE 19720. The Public Hearing will be followed by the January City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. or immediately after the Public Hearing has ended.
