Date Posted: Thursday, October 6th, 2022Mosquito Spraying Tonight in New Castle Delaware DNREC –Weather permitting; the Delaware Mosquito Control Section plans the following insecticide application(s) during the evening hours on Thursday, October 6, 2022: Application of Zenivex E4 (Etofenprox) with a truck-mounted sprayer to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas: Twin Spans Industrial Park and Glebe Cemetery in New Castle. For notification purposes, spraying will be done in the following zone(s): 30. All insecticides to be used are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for mosquito control and will be applied according to EPA-approved label instructions. The EPA has determined that these insecticides do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife, or the environment. River Towns Ride & Festival Rescheduled for Saturday, October 22nd

This year’s ride will be held Saturday, October 1st beginning at 9 a.m. Post-ride party will be held in Historic New Castle’s Battery Park featuring live music, games, beer, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
