Trash Pickup Delay on Monday, January 6, 2025 Due to Winter Storm

As the City prepares to be clearing snow all day Monday, trash services will be delayed until at least Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. Date Posted: Friday, January 3rd, 2025Snow Removal & Code Red Reminders As we enter into the winter season, residents and property owners are reminded of New Castle City Code § 209-1. Removal of snow and ice required. Residents are reminded that any person, corporation, company or other entity, being the owner, tenant or occupant of any house or other building, or the owner of any improved or unimproved lot, shall remove any snow, hail, ice or other matter or thing from any pavement, sidewalk or footway along and adjoining said premises within 24 hours of the time snow ceased to fall or the ice formed. Said owner, tenant or occupant shall cause a pathway to be cleared at least three feet in width along the pavement or sidewalk to the gutter to allow the free passage of pedestrians.
