The ordering period for the Subsidized Rain Barrels has been extended and the new pickup date is Wednesday, July 17, 2026.
- Orders should be placed before July 17, 2026.
- Residents who have already ordered have been notified of the pickup date change.
- The subsidized rate is limited to one (1) Rain Barrel per City of New Castle Household.
- Pickup will be held at the New Castle City Wharf located at 1 Delaware Street, New Castle DE 19720 on Wednesday, July 17, 2026; with home deliveries commencing after the event and continuing daily until completed.
This unique offer was presented to City Council by the Flood Resiliency Committee; and in partnership with the City and the Trustees the rain barrels are being offered at the subsidized rate of $16.60.
