City Offices Closed; Monday 1/26 & Solid Waste Pickup Delayed

Due to the continuing storm, the City of New Castle offices will be closed on Monday, 1/26/26. Only essential emergency personnel should report to work. 

As Public Works staff continues to work to clear the snow and is preparing to deal with this through the end of the storm, solid waste and recycling pickup will be delayed for the week. Yard waste pickup is canceled for the week of 1/26-1/30. 

Solid waste pickup originally scheduled for Monday, January 26th, 2026 will be collected on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026.

Solid waste pickup originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 will be collected on Thursday, January 29th, 2026.

Citywide recycling for this week will be collected on Friday, January 30th, 2026.
