Arbor Day Program – Delmarva Power Customers
Date Posted: Friday, May 29th, 2026Arbor Day Program (Launched May 20) Through our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, Delmarva Power customers can request a free tree to plant at their home. Up to 700 trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis, including native species such as Baldcypress, River Birch, Eastern Redbud, Red Maple, and Flowering Dogwood. Orders should be placed before July 17, 2026. Residents who have already ordered have been notified of the pickup date change. The subsidized rate is limited to one (1) Rain Barrel per City of New Castle Household. Pickup will be held at the New Castle City Wharf located at 1 Delaware Street, New Castle DE 19720 on Wednesday, July 17, 2026; with home deliveries commencing after the event and continuing daily until completed.
